datagraphic installs HC5000 digital colour printer
the world of colour print opens up
Back in early 2005, the manufacturer of the HC5000 addressed the issue of digital colour printing for the mass market by introducing this new colour inket printer. The company's aim was to produce a high speed colour printer capable of running at dramatically reduced costs, and open up the world of colour print to the masses.
In an article recently featured in OneStop magazine, an HC5000 spokesman acknowledged that, whilst there is still a market for premium glossy photo quality print, the majority of digital output (variable print, invoices, statements) is associated with Word documents, PDF's and Excel charts; mostly mono print, but with the need for an occasional splash of colour. Often, these type of documents do not need, or justify, the expense of glossy, ultra high resolution print. This is where the HC5000 digital colour printer comes into play.
Datagraphic's HC5000 colour printer is able to produce quality colour impressions at speeds comparable to a standard monochrome printer. Up to 105 A4 colour pages per minute can be produced over and over again, at a minimal addition cost to the end user. With production costs being reduced by as much as 60-70 per cent, colour is now a serious alternative to monochrome printing in the variable print and business document market.
