new xeroxnew xerox 4635 for datagraphic

second high capacity digital press

Specialist Security printer and document imaging company, Datagraphic have installed another Xerox 4635 printer to meet the demands of the growing transactional print market. The latest installation, capable of running at 8000 impressions per hour with 4 high capacity trays, the equipment will boost Datagraphic’ potential output by more that 2 million sheets per month.

The new printer with non-magnetic OCR capability and a powerful Sun Blade 1000 work station, has been installed to compliment Datagraphic’s existing Xerox 4635 MICR equipment used to print and personalise cheques and other bank documents.

“Bank standards for OCR documents such as Giro Credits have been stepped up lately and this new kit enables us to produce OCR documents that meet all the APACS requirements,” says Datagraphic’s MD Scotch Kirkpatrick. “The equipment will also open up new opportunities for our resellers to enter the growing transactional print market particularly invoicing, statements, letters and remittance advices. The trend towards the outsourcing of transactional print is accelerating at an unbelievable pace. If print management companies and forms distributors do not get on the band wagon now somebody else will”

Datagraphic offer a unique security print service from “data to post” that includes the traditional litho production of cheques and other security documents as well as laser infilling, finishing, fulfilment and mailing.
