SECURE MAILINGS GUARANTEED - 2D MAILCARE

Datagraphic’s unique MailCare System has been enhanced with the development and installation of new features that virtually guarantees that every personalised mailing is correct.
New cameras and software has now been installed “in-line” on their latest Kern mailing equipment. Software has been enhanced with added capability that includes electronic verification and comparison with customer’s original run file.

The Datagraphic MailCare equipment is used to read and record personalised security documents before mailing. The system was custom built to meet the high demands of the Banks and other financial institutions to verify that mailed documents such as cheques matched the original data.

High-speed cameras are used to read the latest “2-D” barcodes that are printed during personalisation. All documents such as cheques are counted and verified before mailing. This ensures that what is inserted into envelopes is checked against the original run file received from the client. The system guarantees that there are no duplicate or missing documents.

One of the latest enhancements includes reading a pre-printed stock barcode at the same time as the personalised 2D barcode. Base stock is pre-printed with a special barcode containing the stock code while the 2D code is printed during personalisation. The system can now verify that the right job is printed on the correct stationery using the right programme.

The original MailCare system was custom built to Datagraphic’s specifications. High-speed cameras and software utilise the latest “2-D” Barcode technology and OCR. The stand-alone version is capable of reading A4 documents at up to 15,000 per hour.
